Aidan James hails from the Aloha State – Hawaii; a place steep in the traditions of its culture, dance, and music.  Although the ukulele is most known for its Hawaiian tradition, Aidan has taken it to a different level, streamlining its unique sound into pop, rock and folk music. Add in his warm vocals, a loop station, and effect pedals, this young phenom has created his own artistry taking it beyond the islands, inspiring audiences of all ages around the world.

At the age of 4, Aidan picked up the ukulele and started taking lessons.  Little did anyone know, this instrument would not only help him overcome a mild speech impediment at an early age, but also opened a path for what was to become the start of his music career. At

age 11, Aidan started songwriting, debuting his first single, "One of the Ones" which was featured on "Hawaii Five-0." In 2014, he released a

4-song EP, "Live Again,"which was nominated for a 2015 Na Hoku Hanohano Award (Hawaii's equivalent to a Grammy).  At just 14 years old, Aidan debuted his first full-length album, "Echoes" which gave him his second nomination, "Contemporary Album of the Year."  The album features 9 of 11 songs which Aidan co-wrote and co-produced, including "Back To Where We Came From" for a HBO docu-series, a remake of Tracy Chapman's, "Fast Car," and "The Girl on the TV Screen" which was produced in Nashville and won first place in a major songwrititng competition.

Through the years, Aidan has toured the US, Tahiti and Japan. He has shared the stage with Jack Johnson, Mick Fleetwood, Jake Shimabukuro, and Grammy award-winning, Train, and has opened for Lisa Loeb and Michael Bolton. He's headlined and graced covers of magazines including, "HI Luxury," "Midweek," Hawaiian Airlines inflight magazine, "Hana hou", and is currently featured in Ukulele Magazine's Summer 2017 issue.

Now at 15 years old, Aidan has created his signature sound with insightful songwriting, a deeper, mature vibe with rounded vocals, infusing the ukulele into all genres of music.  In 2016, Aidan joined Train on their "Sail Across The Sun" Music and Wine Festival tour from Miami to Jamaica and a few of his music videos were showcased at Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series at New York's Central Park. He had stellar performances at the famous songwriting showcase at Bluebird Cafe Nashville, played the Los Angeles circuit -  Hotel Cafe, Troubadour, and Genghis Cohen -  and was the youngest artist to have his own show at the legendary Blue Note in Hawaii.

Aidan supports charitable organizations such as “Make Em Smile” and “Best Buddies” sharing his gift of music with patients at various children hospitals in Hawaii.   Aidan resides in California and is currently working on a new album that will be released in 2017.
